Chopin (ショパン Shopan) is one of the supporting characters in ClassicaLoid. Born with the memories of Romantic Period composer Fryderyk Franciszek Chopin, he is one of the ClassicaLoids created in Arkhe. While initially affiliated with the organization, he left for Otowa Mansion because of his fear of performing in public.

He is a close friend to Liszt, who would often call him Cho-chan (チョッちゃん Chocchan).

Appearance

He has auburn hair, which Dvorak once remarked to have long fringes, often hiding his amber eyes. His casual outfit resembles a tracksuit, chiefly a sort of silver in color and accented with black and lavender and white knee-high boots with a matching belt.

Personality

He is an extremely timid and introverted man who spends much of his time in his room with his computer. He often says how much strangers scare him and has shown hatred toward humanity. Chopin is also terrified of animals, as shown with Hasshie and Dovo-chan. His shyness is so severe, he is unable to open the door to receive packages he possibly ordered. Chopin is a little childish, he often complains of being hungry and only comes out of his room to eat. He well prefers to hide himself rather than facing problems. Nonetheless, he is independent, he is the only one along with Liszt to pay his rent. He cares about people he likes, he seems to appreciate Liszt and defend her, makes use of his internet influence to help Dovo-chan, and is thought to be a good listener to those who share the same social struggles as him.

According to Liszt, Chopin seems to have some extrovert feelings when traveling out of his room. He usually brings his camera and embarks on a journey while making a live stream, which is contradictory to his usual traits.

Over the series, Chopin has been shown to have slightly gotten out of his shell in other situations as well. He enjoys being the center of attention of those who admire and appreciate him. He is able to adapt socially in such circumstances, as well as when alone in nature, as opposed to being in the presence of the other Otowakan residents, whom he resents to the point of publishing a manga that depicts caricatures of them, with Chopin himself being the hero that stops the chaos. He well prefers fiction over the real world.

Story

1st Season

Chopin hiding

Chopin's first appearance was during episode 3, "Cho-chan and Li-chan" along Liszt. Though, according to him, he's been in Otowa Mansion for days after he was fired from the agency. He utilized Sousuke's vulnerable IP address to reach Otowa Mansion and occupied room 203 without Kanae's knowledge.

Musik

Like all ClassicaLoids, Chopin can use Musik based on his pieces. His transformation catchphrase is “W nicości tworzę muzykę! (Polish: In nothingness I make Music!).”

• Nocturne Op. 9 No. 2 (4.A.M. Nocturne) - The nocturne allows him to invoke objects and/or structures around him and turn them either into towers or spherical shields.
• Valse Grande Brillante (Koi wa Jolly Jolly) - The song is not necessarily Chopin's Musik, but rather his own composition Jolly turned into her own Musik. This Musik allowed her to transform the surroundings into a meadow.
• Fantaisie Impromptu (Yowa no Tsuki) - Transports other people to the digital world.
• Waltz Op. 64 No. 1, "Little Dog" (Koinu no Carnival) - Turns people into dogs, a reference to the nickname of the original piece. So far, Kanae, Sousuke, Mozart, Beethoven, and Liszt has been affected by this. He can also transform into a dog to physically attack.
• Raindrop Prelude (Amadare to Ureigoto) - Causes rain to fall from the sky or indoors. The piece can also affect a single person, causing a rain cloud to form over their head.
• Polonaise Op. 53, "Heroic" (Japanimation Eiyuu Polonaise)
